One-to-One Tech Help In-Person
Are you having issues with your personal device?
Book a meeting with one of our Digital Navigators to help you understand how to use your device.
These One-to-One appointments are intended to be quick help sessions in the following Categories:
- Internet Basics
- Video Conferencing Basics
- Computer Basics ( Windows 10, 11 | macOS 11 [Apple])
- Mobile Device Basics ( Android | iOS [Apple])
Digital Navigators function as guides, this means that it is the patron's responsibility to fill in their own information.
Digital Navigators are not permitted to assist in tasks that include confidential information, filling out forms, typing up documents or giving advice outside the realm of helping patrons understand a digital process.
Example: If a patron has no idea how to use a computer. Digital Navigators can show the patron how to use a mouse, keyboard, access the appropriate software, application (app), or find the website they need to complete their desired task. However, it is the patron's responsibility to use the computer to fill in their own information.
To keep One-to-One sessions brief, Digital Navigators may suggest or show patrons how to access self-paced online courses or inform patrons when the next in-person workshop is scheduled to develop the patron's skills and understanding beyond the time allotted for the session.
Please, one appointment per person, per week.
Please call the Oakhurst Branch Library at 559-683-4838 for more information.
